So here's my problem...
I have curly hair that i blow dry upside down with the defuser. I love the way it looks right after i finish...it has volume at the roots, a nice shape, and stays back from my face. However, not long after, no matter what i do, it loses it shape and all volume at th roots and falls forward into my face, making it look heavy.
What can i do?

use gel or mouse that will probably make it hard but it stays..or curl it at the top and spray it with hairspray that way it'll stay longer

i wouldn't blow dry it upside down, because that probably takes some of the curl out. Try letting it dry naturally as long as possible, then blow dry a little (head right side up) After hair is dry, flip your head upside down for volume

I also diffuse upside down and have the same issues. I like the John Freida line called Frizz-ease. The gel, curl enhancer and smoothing cream are all nice and affordable. I buy them at Target. A cut with layers seems to help to a certain degree also. For hair falling into your face, try small hidden bobby pins.

I used to have the same problem as you! I got shorter layers where the shortest layer starts at my lip. The longest part of my hair touches the middle of my back, and my hair never goes flat or loses it's shape. Many people told me that shorter layers are a no-no for curly hair but it's not true. Definitely find a hair stylist that understands this concept because th shorter layers will give your hair even volume as opposed to longer layers where all of the weight is at the bottom. I hope this helps:)
