Easy styles for curly hair?

"Hairstyle Definition

The hairdo described is designed around a very basic tightly crafted ponytail that is anchored at the top of the crown with hair sculpted to fan out and up. The base of the updo hugs the crown and the back of the head. Although the model is not wearing bangs, this style could also be created with any type of fringed front hairline.

Face Shape Considerations

This elegant sleek style highlights the face along with the dress. Although most face shapes will be flattered by this style, if your face is long and thin it is better to design the updo so it lays closer to the head with more volume added along the sides.

Oval and heart shaped faces will look beautiful in this style. Square faces can achieve balance by carefully pulling ringlet tendrils down around the jaw and cheeks to soften. Round face shapes can achieve a slimming effect by adding more height at the crown, adding tendrils at the cheeks and playing with a light dusting of side parted bangs or hairline tendrils.

Best For Hair/Length/Condition

This fanned updo would work best for chin to shoulder length hair that is medium to fine in texture.

One option to consider with baby fine hair is to use a volumizing shampoo and gel or spray to blow up the hair cuticle.

Challenging For Hair/Length/Condition

Hair that is longer than shoulder length, exceptionally thick, naturally wavy or curly would require pre-styling straightening to prepare it for this style.

Thick or super thick hair may not be able to achieve the desired level of sleekness. It would be possible to re-create this look on thick or super thick hair that has been relaxed.

If you have short hair and wish to create this look, consider add- on extensions or clip on ponies.

Getting Started: Creating The Updo

Style #3673 from the Alfred Angelo Prom 2004 collection

漏 Alfred Angelo

This updo may requires the assistance of a professional stylist or a friend or family member that can help you fix your hair. Because the hair has sculpted fanned hair strands that hug the back of your head and crown, additional hands are required to achieve a carefully finished style.

With a little practice you or a prom going buddy could create the updo style. If you prefer, book an appointment with your favorite stylist to create the style.

If you wish to try this style on your own, be sure to spend time in several practice sessions to see if you can duplicate the look. If you have never worn an updo before, be prepared to adjust to a change in your hair comfort factor.

If you are in doubt about how well you would look in this style, have your hair done by a stylist several weeks before your Prom and have a friend take photos. This will give you a chance to look at yourself as others would see your hair.

Instructions

If possible, create this look on hair that is not freshly washed. Right after a shampoo hair tends to be soft, slippery and harder to work with. This is especially true for an updo style.

If you prefer to create the style on newly washed hair be sure to dress the hair well with styling creams, gels or lotions to help anchor the style for long term wear ability.

Step One: Create a deep side part on one side of the head. Starting at the front of the head use a paddle style brush and brush all of your hair back from the hairline on either side of the part to form a ponytail at the back of your crown near the top. Merge the hair on either side of the part to form a very tight angled ponytail sculpture.

Note: If you prefer bangs, these can also be added to the style. Keep in mind that if you modify the style from the instructions the look will not be identical to the photos shown in this article.

Phytolaque Hair Spray

Step Two: Once you have a sleek and tight ponytail, secure it with a hair bungee or Blax band in the same color as your hair.

Apply a good hair spray like Phytolaque to saturate and dampen hair. This will help to make hair more manageable as you style. It will also help to create and sculpt the fanned hair pieces.

Step Three: Grab the entire ponytail in the thumb and forefinger of the left hand approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches down from the base of the secured ponytail. Taking the right hand, wrap the entire ponytail clockwise over and completely around the thumb and the forefinger to create a large loop with the ends of the new loop pulled up to the same level as the ponytail base.

Step Four: While holding the new hair loop in place with one hand, smooth and flatten the new hair loop and pin securely on the underneath side of the loop next to the scalp.

Use tiny hair or bobby pins in the same color as your hair. Make sure that the new loop is evenly balanced and symmetrical. Use as many pins as necessary to make sure the style will hold. As you pin the new loop be sure to leave 2-3 inches of long ends free.

When you are finished the looped hair will have been carefully merged into the top of the bottom ponytail to create a soft rounded bun effect.

Step Five: Once you have pinned the loop securely into place you should have a stalk of untamed hair ends sticking up near the ponytail base.

Apply hairspray, gel, wax or styling cream to the complete length of the ponytail ends to give them form and texture.

Take one strand and layer it around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic band.

Step Six: Using your fingers carefully arrange the strands to form a type of free form hair fan. work from side to side to create a balanced fan hair sculpture.

If you want more control over the fanned strands, separate them into 1/4" to 1/2" individual strands, lightly twist clockwise and then pin into place.

Remember to take your time and check each strand as you pin. Make sure that each strand is firmly pinned once you position it. To hold securely, spray each fanned hair section with holding or styling spray as you work.

Position two bobby pins in a X formation near the end of the hair strands to get them to stand up. If you prefer, you can lightly back comb each fanned strand and spray to give it fullness and to form a larger feathery splay form.

Note: Do not use a brush or comb after you have created the ponytail. Use your fingers to style and arrange your hair. Keep the hair as close to your head as possible since this updo look is sleek, elegant and close to the scalp.

Step Seven: Decorate the finished updo style by adding one or more gorgeous fresh flowers or add pink crystals or white colored tiny crystal headbands, hair snaps, magnets or jeweled clips. If you use fresh flowers, wait to pin them into your hair right before you leave for the Prom to keep them as fresh as long as possible.

Conair - Instant Heat 1" Curling Iron

If you prefer, you can leave long tendril sections to cascade down around your face. If you want tighter tendrils use a 1/4 to 1 inch barreled curling iron or hot rollers to give you a tighter ringlet.

Summary

This style can be easily modified by adding more or less wax and/or styling products. Add a little styling wax for a more edgy look. Or keep the look soft by spraying with a light hairspray to finish the look.

Experiment with a range of options from adding different parts and bangs to pinning in add-on hair pieces to create more fanned hair pieces.

Note: A special thank you to Alfred Angelo for sharing this gorgeous gown with HairBoutique.com. If you would like to purchase this gown go to the Alfred Angelo site for a list of retail stores that carry this design."

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

I have naturally curly hair and I have side swept bangs. They look awesome when you put a headband in and straighten the bangs and leave them out. You can always straighten all of your hair too for a nice look with the bangs. But I say that everyone should at least try them if they are considering them. If you don't like them, hair grows back!

Straight or curly hair?

I can either straighten my hair, or leave it curly/wavy,but I don't know what looks best on blonde, tan, lightly freckled, heart-shaped headed girl. thank you!

Straight or curly hair?

Hello dear!

Any hair will do! ,think of the bold guys!!!!!

Seriously, it depends on the type of the person and what she wants to show!

Curly is "sexier" for social meetings, etc., but straight might look prompt for business women!

Again all these are relative! The "owner" of the hair selects based on her will and looks she wants to have!

Straight or curly hair?

I think curly hair would look better:)

Straight or curly hair?

Both. You're lucky you have the option.Variety is the spice of life, so mix it up, and alternate between styles and have fun with it. I personally have quite straight hair, but I LOVE curly hair!

Straight or curly hair?

Curly/wavy hair is beautiful on blondes. Well actually on everybody! Straight hair is boring and flat.

Straight or curly hair?

it depends on how tan u r

light tan- strait hair would do amazing things 4 u

dark tan- curly hair might brighten ur smile

Straight or curly hair?

I'd say wavy, but that is because I have straight hair and I and every other girl envy's the other hair type. Whichever you like best. You're lucky you have versatility.

Straight or curly hair?

I also have a heart-shaped face, and have experimented with styles to compliment it. My hair can go curly or straight, depending on how I feel, and I tend to like it wavy best. It seems to make the angles of my face less severe. They state it well here:

http://www.salonweb.com/facial.htm

I do, however, think you can change it with your mood; it's great to have hair that will do as you bid it, so have fun with it.

I hope you find what you're looking for!

Straight or curly hair?

I say straight....

Straight or curly hair?

But that is the benefit of having curly hair, you can switch it up!

I have curly hair and I can blow it straight as well both can look good if your using the right products.

If you know your going somehwere where your going to sweat or be hot or its humid out style your hair accordingly..wear it curly. If it's going to be nice out and there isn't much humidity style it straight.

The last thing you want is to style it straight and then it gets all frizzy looking and curls up. Work with it girl!

Straight or curly hair?

Curly curly curly. All natural. Girl plus if you straighten/blowdry your hair it will get dry/damaged and frizzy, so I suggest you leave it curly.

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

my hair is anturally curly (for people with natural curl you know this can mean frizz and too much volume) and i need some tips to wear it curly without frizz. Also please leave tips on how to straighten natual curly hair

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

I have natural curls too:

Got2Be styling mousse (big red can) and hairspray work great for wearing curly. It doesn't leave your hair sticky or crispy and controls frizz.

For straightening.. I suggest a blowdryer with one of those concentrated attachments.. a straightener and a curling iron (depending on how you like to wear it) Do not forget to always put protection on your hair before drying it.. curly hair is already more dry than straight (natural oils don't make their way around curls as much as they do going down a straight line for straight hair) for this I suggest the little green bubble bottles of Garnier Fructise (unsure of spelling and on my way out the door...)

Good luck!

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

u can put it in a ponytail and to straighten hair all the have to do is go buy a straightner that can striaght with wet hair! then take a shower and then strighten1 my friend does that all the time and her hair is super curly and she can get it soooooooo straight trust me!!!!!! please put me as best answer!!!! flat irons work best! or get it chemicaly permant straightened in a salon! good luck!!!!

~melanie~

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

Use flattening iron to straighten your hair or go to saloon have it relaxed or rebonded.

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

hmm. unlike melanie i wouldnt ask to be put as best answer but anyways.

I have exactly the same problem. (however doesnt show in my pic because i had a perm straightening, but trust me you dont want to go there)

so I was surfin the internet and came upon HERBAL ESSENCES. boy do they have SO many diff. products for all types of hair looks to me you should get the totally twisted http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect...

sounds like you dont want the volume though so you can just mix it up with other products and get the none of your frizziness creme.

you should really check the website out.

just a TIP: NEVER get a relaxer or perm straightening. sunds like heaven and you will be for a couple of months until your hair starts to dry up and break(TRUST me its happening right now for me and I'm looking for all ways to rehydrate)

straight hair is very manageable and sounds like all the fun but then what happens when you start to grow curly hair ? you have two textures of hair and it doesnt look good.

That's what is happening to me right now and i have to keep straightening with a straight iron and my hair is just a mess and broken .

hope fully this helps you.

How do you make your hair curly again??

i had curly hair now my hair has grown out more and it got a little straighter for some reason i dont know. is this normal? if i get some type of small haircut can it get curly again?

How do you make your hair curly again??

Curling Iron.

How do you make your hair curly again??

Try a perm?!

How do you make your hair curly again??

Try putting some gel in it and scrunching it and blowdry with a diffuser while scrunching it.

How do you make your hair curly again??

sometimes if your hair is curly and you cut it too short, their isn't enough weight to hold the curls down and they tend to straighten out or become more wavy. Also, your hair can just become more straight as you age. You can try scrunching your hair around the roots where it is less curly while it is still wet.

How do you make your hair curly again??

Yeah its normal. Mines opposite though. If you perm it, it will be curly again.

How do you make your hair curly again??

The longer your own hair gets it created weight and is pulling the curl out try a curl activating gel Like in the Loop by Redkin

How do you make your hair curly again??

There are lots of reasons why our hair loses its curl. My sister in law lost all her curls when she fell pregnant and it wasn't till after her third pregnancy that she got her curl back. Sometimes if you are on medication of some kind it will take the curl away. Just look after it and be patient and it should come back, eventually.

How do you make your hair curly again??

hmm, curly or straight is depend on your genetic. if suddenly your new growth hair become straight maybe you used any medicine or used a new shampoo.don`t worry if u have a curly genetic you will get your curly hair again. but if you dont have it..hmm, you should go to your hair dresser!they can make your hair curly..

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and

HANDLE IT!! i mean i've seen girls that just use mouse or whatever after they wash they hair but i cant it gets puffy, frizzy and a mess!! plz help how can i have a nice straight or curly hair!!

And if u know how can i meake it grow faster that would be great too, maybe a bad cut did that too.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

My hair used to be like that. I had to straighten it because I couldn't tame it, but then I couldn't tame it because I'd damaged it from straightening it.

Right now, all you can do is damage control. First thing: Put down the straightener. It doesn't help if you keep damaging your hair.

It's also very important to find the right shampoo and conditioner- your style starts while your hair is wet. Personally, I use Dove for intense damage as both my shampoo and conditioner, and it works like something from the Gods. My hair feels silky and soft and begins forming beautiful waves while it's still wet.

I let my hair air-dry, and I usually have good waves and volume, but there is still some frizz. I take care of that by using Rusk Wired. It's a shaping creme. I rub a little bit in between my palms and just rub it through my hair, and it defines my curls a little better and helps tame frizz to a degree. Fortunately, there is a LOT of leeway (sp?) for frizz for girls with curly hair.

And asap, get a haircut and get as much dead stuff off as possible.

cut it all off and start over again...

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

ur hair is kind of in a bad condition. so u should go to a salon and ask for their help, cause u dont want to ruin it more

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

have your hair stiaght the first day after the wash...blowdry your roots really straight...and the rest...then continue with striagtening irons all over....and the 2nd say after you wash your hair put in put in them hot twisty reoller things...theyre very easy long lasting curls...and very natural

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

CUT IT ALL OFF, AND START OVER. IT'S ONLY HAIR... WEAR A BALL CAP IF NECESSARY. YOU MAY ALSO NEED A SCALP TREATMENT. HAVE A GOOD BEAUTICIAN GIVE YOU SOME GOOD ADVICE AND A GOOD CUT FOR YOUR CURLS. QUIT FIGHTING IT, AND LET IT WAVE...

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

can't make it grow faster. You need to get a trim and get those ends off. Then you need to treat your hair like silk. If you have wavy hair, let it be wavy. Use products to control the frizz. You don't want to go out of the house with the Christmas tree look.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

It might sound gross, but Mayo makes a great conditioner. Apply liberally to the hair and wrap in celaphane then wrap a towel around it. Leave in for a min. of 30 minutes. The longer you leave it on the better the results are. Make sure you rinse out well and then shampoo and condition normally. Do this about once a week to see fantastic results!

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Try using some Paul Mitchell Super Charged Conditioner for awhile... it is a super heavy conditioner and will help weigh your hair down some.

To give it a really intensive treatment, apply the Paul Mitchell and leave it in for a few hours while around your home.

I use it all the time and love their products. In Canada it can only be purchased at licenced salons which carry Paul Mitchell... in the USA I believe JC Penny carries them (at least they did 12+ years ago).

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

To make your hair grow faster eat more protiens! If you drink more water on a daily basis that will help your hair look better but not for a few months. As for the frizz try different shampoos, conditioners, and leave in conditioners. Pantene Pro V is a good one.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Take prenatal vitamins - they help improve your hair, nails and skin. But remember - it only helps NEW growth.

For the hair that's already damanged, there's not much to do, except use some deep conditioning on it. Don't mess with it much - meaning, don't blow dry, don't curl, etc. Keep it trimmed every 4 - 6 weeks, and each time more of the damaged hair will be removed. You just have to let it grow out. Now you know that your hair doesn't like to be overprocessed and you can be more careful with it in the future.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

I think it's just a bad cut. I use mouse and hairspray in my curly hair. It works nice. When my hair gets too long and misshapes itself it tends to get more frizzy and ugly when I straighten it. Re-cut it with lots of long layers and I'll bet it works better both ways

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

I have the same problem as you do. I get a regular hair cut to keep it growing healthy. Try putting anti-frizz gel in your hair and diffuse it using cool air setting on your blow drier. It's the heat that makes it frizzy. It only takes me 10mins to do. Then, use Aussie sprunch and spray to spray the **** out of it. That way the heat and humidity can't get at your hair and cause it to go big and frizzy. With going straight I also use an anti-frizz gel and section my hair from nape to front and blow dry each section, it takes a bit of time but it should last a few days for ya.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Well i have the same kind of hair. i straightened my hair like every day and it got like that. What you need is a trim. Go and get your hair trimmed a little and not only will your hair feel healthier but it will look healthier and it will also help your hair to grow out faster. Get a trim like every month and your hair will look and feel better and grow out faster. Also something that is very important for you to do is not straighten it so much. Put aside a day or two for your hair to recover from all the damage your putting it through. Make sure you have a good staightener. One that has ionic heating and a ceramic straightener instead of one that is just mettle because that is way harsher on hair. Also make sure to wash your hair every other day so that it doesnt get too dry. Use a good conditioner like pantien or something like that and deep condition your hair. keep the conditioner in and when you get out of the shower make sure not to wash out all the conditioner in your hair. Finally have some oils to put in your hair before you straigten it to prevent your hair from becoming frizzy. Try biosilk therapy oils or something like that a few drops of that stuff will help a lot. And also when you get out of the shower instead of straightening your hair right away while its wet, try drying it out first with a towel or something because that can cause split ends to occure. or if your in a hurry then blow dry it. Wow i never realized what a pro ive become at doing hair and makeup.... hahaa

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

i had the same problem and i solved it so try these tips

1-put olive oil or mixture of oils on ur hair before u wash it in hour

2-use a good shampoo

3-use conditioner everytime u wash ur hair

4-use very heavy conditioner on ur hair after u wash it every 2 weeks "the one that u put it on clean hair for half an hour then wash it with just water"

Straightening extremely thick curly hair?

I'm thinking of getting a small flat iron so that I can straighten my hair regularly. My hair is extremely thick and curly. I just got it done at a salon and I got a lot of positive feedback and it made me feel so good about my appearance I do not want it to go away. I want to be able to do it myself, but I do not know how. How can I and what brand iron should I get? It has to be cheap but works well.

Here is a picture of me, I am on the right.

Best way to style naturally curly hair?

I'm caucasian, I have naturally curly hair that is a couple inches past shoulder length, and my hair gets a little frizzy in this humid weather! I need tips on how to style it good, especially tame frizz. And I'm sick of straightening my hair everyday- its damaging my hair!

I really like the loose waves look.

Best way to style naturally curly hair?

Been there, done that! Talk to someone you know who has hair similar to yours that you like...Heck, walk up to a complete stranger and ask...it's most flattering! Get a recommendation for a stylist and make an appointment. make sure it's a stylist who understands curly, frizzy hair and ask for a cut that takes advantage of your hair's natural qualities. It will probably involve some layers. Get him/her to recommend a hair product that will give you shine, body, and tone the frizzies. Make sure the cut allows you to air dry it and scrunch it for a finished style...dryers only make the frizzies worse. I fought my hair (which could be described exactly like yours) for literally decades because I wanted to look like all my friends. Since I went with letting my hair do what it does naturally...AFTER (a) a good cut and (b) good styling products, I look more like me and I get compliments on my hair almost daily.

Best way to style naturally curly hair?

actually, there is hair stuff that makes your hair stay curly

if its not liek super curly....then after u take a shower comb your hair tie it up in a pony tail...and put anti-frizz spray in ur hair (i like dove) ...it works for me...or if its really curly then if u can comb it i would after a shower and but straightening balm in it...i like redken...hope this helps

Best way to style naturally curly hair?

get it wet and pull it into a half ponytail with a fancy Barret. when it dries it will look pretty,(i do it)

Best way to style naturally curly hair?

I'm in the same situation. Best way to tame your hair is to put it up in a towel for 10 or so minutes until it is half way dry, that way it isn't exposed to humidity immediately. Afterwards, put it a smoother, NOT frizz control. I've noticed that frizz control adds more volume. Get hair smoother from Garnier Frutis.

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

i don't really have curly hair, but frizz-ease hairspray is great for reducing static and frizz, and lasts nearly the whole day. it's awesome. especially on humid days. :D

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

gel

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

You can use John Freida Frizz-Ease on towel dried hair, don't ever blow dry it and once you have it styled with gel and Frizz-ease, keep your hands and fingers out of it. Otherwise, it will just get bigger and fuller. You can also put in some of John Freida's "Secret Weapon" cream after your hair is dry. Just kind of smooth it over the top layer.

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

yea i know what you mean my hair is curly, frizzy, and so thick its unreal. i found out that if you wash it every night it takes out so much oil and your hair needs some oil. try washing it and let the con. stay on while you do whatever else and wash it out last and dont wash your hair every night. and also try using diff. shampoo and con. to wait till it starts getting kinnda oily then wash it agin thats what i do and get some serome from paul mitchell it works great.

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

Well- there is a process involved to "de-frizz" your hair. First start with Herbal Essences "None of your frizzness" shampoo and conditioner. Then start using Herbal Essences "None of your frizzness" smoothing leave in creme.

Next start using products that are meant for curly hair, such as Herbal Essences "Totally Twisted" Line of hair products meant for curly hair.

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

I have naturally curly hair and I have a few good tricks.....first is conditioning is key!!!! I love biolage conditioner, it weighs the hair down nicely keeping it from being too big....also at sally's beauty supply theres a product called "generic biosilk" is looks like a oil kind of, it smells amazing and its like a leavein treatment/ styling product. my personal regimin is to shower, condition, brush my hair in the shower...then as soon as im done and before drying head at all i use the biosilk and spray gel lightly, lean over head upside down and scrunch hair, thennnnnn take towel and just blot your drippy hair...its not as extensive as it seems...easy~ and it leaves frizzless perfect curls:)

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

I have wavy hair that frizzes and I use aussie sydney smooth tizz no frizz gel. I got it at Walmart.

Anyone have curly hair and how do you prevent the frizzes?

I also have very curly shoulder length hair and agree with the previous comment about not washing it every day i do however condition it every day and have tried EVERYTHING for my hair I dont like the serums because they tend to make your hair greasy...I like three different brands personally one is Neutrogena Intense Moisture, little higher price than the rest but worth it and the sunsilk pink bottle also have just started using Dove Cool Moisture and rinsing my hair in COLD water..so cold I cant stand it Have been told that it seals the cuticle so that it is less frizzy..Also try the Aussie sprunch spray dont put to much or your hair will be crunchy lol...Good Luck

Layers with curly hair?

i straighten my hair alot, but if i were to get some layers in and leave it curly once in awhile how would that look? would they like stick out or what? what could i do to style it so that i could work it? thanks for any suggestions.

Layers with curly hair?

It will give your hair more body - so if you don't like the fullness when you have curly hair then go light with the layers

Layers with curly hair?

i think you'd be perfectly fine both my mom and my sister have curly hair and they have their's layerd so i dont see it being a problem at all

Layers with curly hair?

It would make your curls curlier, and thin your hair out some. Just put some gel . You could pin some pieces out of your face, ponytail or use a headband!

Layers with curly hair?

barrets and ponytails or a headband

Layers with curly hair?

it would give it some volume, and even when your having a bad hair day, no one would noctic!!

i reacon it would look good.

and besides, curls are back in lately!!

Layers with curly hair?

It sounds like we have the same hair. I have long layers in my hair and I LOVE it!!! When I wear it curly it is more curly on the top and when I straighten it...it has more volume. It's wonderful! Good luck babe!

Layers with curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair and I always have layers cut into it. The layers help your hair to look more full and fluffy. I often pull my hair up into a french twist or roll and leave some curls dangling down from the top of the twist. You can leave it down or pull it back, look online or in some hair magazines to get some more ideas the possibilities are endless!!

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i have curly hair and sometimes i straighten it should i straighten it more?

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

straight but i do to have natural curly hair but i only wear curly hair once a week and the rest straightened.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

strait

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i like it curl if it's styled, but if it's natural, i liked straight.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

Straight hair is beautiful. Just make sure you're not frying it by straightening it too often.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

either way, id say straighten ur hair every once in a while and sometimes leave it curly!

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

It depends on how it looks on you. Post pics. Personally I prefer straight, but that is probably because my hair is really curly too.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

People usually look better with their natural hair, but it's always fun to have a change. I'd go with whatever's easier for everyday, and then straighten when you're in the mood for something fun.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

I think I have answered this question before!!

I LOVE curly hair and of course my hair is straight and thin. I like the curly look but I think the straight look is more of a fashion "do" nowadays. I have noticed that a lot of celebrities are going with a more wavy look lately!

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

staight hair and i actually never have had curly hair... you know the REALLY really curly hairs... my hair is usually straight... but still i like straight hair better.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i used to have wavy hair until i had a series of anastetics over several years and my hair has gone into little ringlets and i hate it even with straighteners it doesnt make much impact so straight or wavy for me curly is a nightmare

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i like straight hair =)

How do you get curly hair to be strait?

I have naturally curly hair and I want strait hair so it would be managable. What would be good to die the hair blond. What should I use?

How do you get curly hair to be strait?

1.) Its spelled straight.

2.) Straighten it or blow dry it.

3.) It depends what color your hair is if you dye it.

4.) You can get straightening cream. Just use it when you get out of the shower and it will make hair easyer to straighten.

How do you get curly hair to be strait?

To make your hair straight, you would have to straighten it using a flat iron straightener, or chemically straighten it using relaxers. If you want to dye your hair blond, use a home coloring kit or go to a salon.

How do you get curly hair to be strait?

omg, i used to have that same problem...i have naturally curly hair and i dont like it!!! first, i went to a really good hair stylist and had her thin my hair out a little. then, i went out and bought a straightener. i had a conair, that worked well for a while and then burned out in a few months...i do not recommend conair...i just bought a new revelon stlyix for $25 and i love it...it has one inch ceramic plates and straightes really well. there are also 25 different heat settings and i use #20...when i first started straightening, it took me about an hour and a half, but now, it takes me about 20 minutes!!! one more straightening tip: don't dry your hair b4 straightening it...it drys it out...it helps if you let it airdry, so take a shower the night b4 you want to straighten it!! good luck!!

How do you get curly hair to be strait?

If you are going to straighten your hair with a chemical straightener you do not want to dye it blonde. I always tell my clients to choose one or the other. I also speak from personal experience. I used to chemically straighten my hair and go blonde also and I ended up frying my hair and having to cut alot off. You can just use a straightening product such as Paul Mitchell's straightening gel. Put it in then blow dry your hair with a brush and then take a flat iron to it. This is only temperary. As for the blonde, go to a stylist or you could have major problems that will be expensive to fix if you use an at home product. Find a good stylist and she will help you decide what will be best for your hair.

I want a new hairstyle for school, and like i said i have long thick curly hair and a round face. i want something i could still put my hair in a ponytail, and i'd like some longer bangs,(maybe in the diagonal cut across the face) but i'm not sure how it would look. any ideas will be appreciated!

Side/Diagonal cut bang would suit your face shape (make it look longer). Depending on how curly your year. I usually put my hair in a pony day and just straighten my fringe with the blow/dryer or straightner.

You could also try putting your hair in a medium to high pony tail when wet. Grab small sections as losely twit and pin (usually about four or five sections). This will make a messing but and with a staight diagonal fringe will look hot!

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

i am mixed and i have curly hair, but unfortunately i got white-girl curls, instead of gorgeous, tight curls that black girls get. my hair is pretty curly, but not as curly as i would like it. i dont want to perm it or anything, but i am sick of it. what can i do with it while i am growing it out?

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

buy a flat iron that has ceramic plates as it is better for you hair, and don't cheap out, the ones for over $100 are worth it... and don't flat iron your hair too much or you will damage it..

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

Buy a wig or a hairpiece why don't you!

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

Maybe a good quality flat iron straightener?

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

I have naturaly curly hair too I just keep it washed and I flat iron it sometimes. The best thing to do is go to a professional

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

I too have extremely curly hair. Granted my curls are just about 90% white. But, after decades of having short cropped hair, I've decided to grow it out and re-own my curls.

I use Nexus Humectress conditioner, just a pea sized amount, worked well into my hair while it's still wet, along with a good dose of "Frizzease" serum to keep away the frizz that white curls get.

I then pull it back loosely in a headband and let the curls do their thing.

Sometimes I'll just get frustrated and pull it all back tightly into a ponytail or bun. Sometimes I get creative and use a 1 3/4" curling iron and straighten it out after drying with an ionic hair drier.

But I try not to damage it as white curls can "break" too.

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

1st let me just say i know exactly how you feel, im black and mexican and my hair is more towards mexican stlye but curly...kind of like soft curls. I hate it to. I cant straighten my hair cause its to thin and could brake off but i cant wear it nice and tight curly its so frustrating. So what i do is when i want it straight i get some hair straighten stuff like those frizzease stuff and some bio silk (must have..it works so good and make my hair so soft) let me hair air dry then blow dry it straight with a blow dry, then flat iron it. when i want to do curly i just put some curl activator gel and some regular gel and just let it air dry...it doesnt come out like tight curls but its nice and curly and easy to deal with. point blank you'll just have to except what you have and deal with.

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

I think "white girl" curls are a lot better looking than the pube looking tight "black girl" curls..just be happy with what you got

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

Gorgeous black girls curls? oh my, what is the world coming to?, black girls have brillo hair not curls honey, and it sure aint gorgeous cause then 90% of black girls wouldn't be straightening those gorgeous curls stick straight only to be left with a stiff cast in the shape of white girl's hair. So you got some Shirley Temple white girl curls instead-cheer up!

I am not happy with my curly hair and i never know what to do with it.?

Chica - you are crazy! Any gorgeous curls you see on a morena are not natural! Be thankful you have nice strong beautiful hair instead. What do you mean by "growing it out"? Is it short? If so, please understand, when you are growing your hair out, it's finding a way to shape itself out and will look funky until shoulder length. Don't ever brush your hair, when it is wet %26amp; there is conditioner on it, use a wide tooth comb to untangle it and don't comb or brush it again. Also, don't blowdry without a diffuser, you will ruin your curl. Pin it back from your face, this way the curls cascade to the back %26amp; down %26amp; trust me, when you have beautiful thick curly hair, NO ONE notices how curly it is, only how they wish it were there own. Visit www.ouidad.com, they have great tips %26amp; products, I use them %26amp; have my hair cut there. I trust no one else with my hair...

For the girls... do you prefer long curly hair on guys or short curly hair? in my pic i have short curly hair

Your hair looks kind of medium, not short.. It all depends on the guy. If he can pull of long curly hair then thats great ! Some guys just have the face for it. I don't like short hair though. It has to be at least medium length ! Buzz cuts are so ugly ! I think you should keep your hair at the length it is or maybe just grow it out a little more. Very few guys can pull off that long, curly look. Not to be rude, just keepin it real :)

Hope I helped

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

cut it all off and start over again...
